Wendy Spearin, branch manager of Southern
Title’s Palm Coast office, and Cheryl
Rapoano, manager of the company’s
ICI division, earned the designation Certified
Land Closer from the Florida Land Title
Association (FLTA) at the Association’s
annual convention in St. Augustine, Florida.
Rapoano and Spearin were recognized during
a special CLC luncheon at the FLTA convention.
The CLC designation is the title industry’s
highest achievement and requires years
of experience and the successful completion
of a lengthy exam. Southern Title is proud
to employ ten closers who have earned
the CLC designation. Leslie Smith, director
of Southern Title’s search department,
holds the Certified Land Searcher (CLS)
designation.
Rapoano has 20 years of title industry
experience and has been handling real
estate closings in the Daytona Beach area
since 1990. A native of Daytona Beach,
Spearin has 15 years of title industry
experience. Both Spearin and Rapoano are
Licensed Title Agents in the State of
Florida.
A state chapter of the American Land Title
Association (ALTA), FLTA offers the only
professional designation program in Florida
and is composed of title insurance underwriters,
title insurance agencies, abstractors
and associate members. Incorporated in
1971, the FLTA is a non-profit trade association
that is dedicated to serving the land
title insurance industry promoting the
shared goals of education, professionalism
and ethical standards.
