(DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., November 5, 2009) – Shelley Stewart, CLC, president of Southern Title Holding Company, was named 2010 President of the Florida Land Title Association (FLTA) at the Association’s annual convention in St. Petersburg last week.

As President of the state’s only trade association representing both title agents and insurers, Stewart will represent the industry’s interests to state legislators and insurance regulators and will preside over the Association’s monthly conference calls and quarterly meetings. With RESPA Reform imminent and legislative attacks on the value and importance of the industry lingering into the next legislative session, Stewart will play a pivotal role in generating support for the industry that serves as the conduit to all Floridian’s achievement of the American dream of homeownership. Stewart served as Zone II Vice President in 2007 and Agents’ Section Chair in 2009.

A native of New Jersey, Stewart has spent most of her life in Florida and graduated from Seabreeze High School.
