Four Southern Title associates earned the designation Certified Land Closer from the Florida Land Title Association (FLTA) at the Association’s annual convention in Delray Beach earlier this month.
Tami Luxton, branch manager of Southern Title’s flagship office on Beville Road in Daytona Beach; Alethea Thomas of the company’s office on Seabreeze Blvd. in Daytona Beach; Amy Wesp, manager of the company’s Jacksonville office, and Allison Garner, who serves as the company’s director of branch operations were recognized during a special CLC luncheon at the FLTA convention. The CLC designation is the title industry’s highest achievement and requires years of experience and the successful completion of a lengthy exam. Southern Title is proud to employ twelve associates who have earned the CLC designation. Leslie Smith, director of Southern Title’s search department, holds the Certified Land Searcher
(CLS) designation.
A state chapter of the American Land Title Association (ALTA), FLTA offers the only professional designation program in Florida and is composed of title insurance underwriters, title insurance agencies, abstractors and associate members. Incorporated in 1971, the FLTA is a non-profit trade association that is dedicated to serving the land title insurance industry promoting the shared goals of education, professionalism and ethical standards.
